Cold process soap making is a time-honoured method passed down through generations, combining art, science, and natural ingredients to create functional, skin-nourishing soap. In this immersive workshop, participants learn to craft soap from scratch, using traditional cold process techniques and carefully selected, chemical-free ingredients.

Your Handmade Artisan Soap

• Create your own cold process artisan soap

• Traditional cold process soaps require a 4 to 8 weeks curing period

• Finished soap will be ready for collection after approximately 1 month for CP 1 Soaps

Upon completion, participants will receive an official Soap Ministry e-Certificate, recognising their learning achievement and participation in this heritage craft experience.

Course Level & Learning Pathway

• Level: Foundation

• Progression: Progress to CP 2 or CP 3 with in depth Skincare knowledge of individual ingredients to create and  formulate Personalised Recipe Creation curated for your skin types, skin conditions and preferences.

•  Completion of CP1 and CP2 or CP 3 is required before advancing to CP4 – CP8, which explore advanced formulations, specialised soaps, and deeper technical mastery

Special Craft Focus: Gardener’s Soap

Gardener’s Soap is a practical example of functional soap making, traditionally valued for its strong cleansing ability and rich natural lather, while remaining gentle on hands.

Common uses include:

• Household cleaning (kitchen, dish-washing, laundry)

• Washing fruits and vegetables

• Gentle, non-drying hand cleansing after outdoor or craft work

This segment highlights how traditional soap making serves everyday cultural practices and domestic needs.
